NEW CONSTRUCTION

All new construction homes should have an independent inspection performed to ensure quality work. Even a newly constructed home can have issues, and the best home builders appreciate having these issues discovered before they turn into expensive problems. The Rolling Ridge Home Inspections team is here to help through every stage of the home building process!

There are three types of inspections that are associated with new construction homes:

Pre-Drywall Inspections: Refers to a stage in the building process just before the drywall is hung. Inspections during this stage are beneficial because drywall can hide some aspects of the interior and make identifying or fixing any problems both difficult and expensive once the home is finished.

Final Inspections: Final inspections are usually scheduled 2-3 days before your final walkthrough with the builder. Our team will look at every aspect of your new home, from major defects like leaks to minor defects like chipped paint. You can use this report to work with the builder to identify any improvements that you want or need before move-in day arrives.

One-Year Warranty Inspections: Taking advantage of your builder’s one-year warranty ensures that your home is safe and sound for you to live. These inspections are typically scheduled around the 11 month mark, giving you plenty of time to alert the builder to any potential problems. If you let your warranty expire without an inspection, you could be stuck footing the bill for any repairs.
